1. Find a straight line putt on the putting green.

Place the yard stick next to the putting line,

and take the pin out of the hole.

The Parallel Putter

YARDSTICK DRILL

The following drill was created for the golfer to become

both familiar and comfortable with design of the Parallel Putter.

2. Begin with 2 balls 6 inches from the hole.

You must putt both balls to the back of the cup.

REPEAT IN 1-FOOT INCREMENTS

TO THE 36-INCH MARK

3. Next go back 3 inches (to the 9 inch mark),

and do the same:  putt both balls to the back of the cup.

PUTT IN 3-INCH INCREMENTS

TO THE 24-INCH MARK

4. Continue this routine, in 3-inch increments,

up to and including the 24-inch mark.

5. If you miss 1 ball, let's say at the 15-inch mark,

you must go back to the 12-inch mark, and

remake both balls before progressing up the line.

REPEAT IN 6-INCH INCREMENTS

TO THE 36-INCH MARK

6. Once you have made both putts at the 24 inch mark,

go back to the beginning (at 6 inches),

and repeat (do the same routine).

However, this time progress up the line in 6-inch increments,

all the way to 36 inches.

The same rule applies: if you miss one ball at 24 inches,

you must go back to 18 inches before continuing.

Yardstick Drill

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE,

UNTIL YOU’RE AN EXPERT!

7. Once you have completed both drills,

    continue in approximately one-foot increments.

8. When you feel comfortable with the Parallel Putter,

go anywhere on the putting green and continue to practice.
